hello!
my name is laila, and i'm an undergraduate student attending the university of wisconsin - madison pursuing degrees in graphic design and life sciences communication.
some of my hobbies include drawing, painting, playing board games - some of my favorites are ticket to ride, catan, and clue. you'll also find me frequenting the dane county farmers market, where i like to buy bread, cheese, and (sometimes) flowers. if you're in the madison area, i highly recommend checking it out!

i would describe my personal style as maximalist and fun. i love working on collage or scrapbooking projects, as i feel they are a perfect way to channel my creative energy into something bubbly and "chaotic." i used to scrapbook a lot with my mom when i was younger, so it's very nostalgic for me as well!
some of my favorite bands/artists are hozier, glass animals, rks, and taylor swift. i was lucky enough to see hozier and taylor swift perform in concert last summer - both were great experiences! when i study, i really enjoy listening to the how to train your dragon soundtrack and star wars soundtrack(s). right now, i'm really loving the songs hey ya by outkast, jackie and wilson by hozier, and creatures in heaven by glass animals.
i currently work as a communications assistant with the nelson institute for environmental studies, and am an editor-in-chief for the wisconsin engineer magazine. these experiences have piqued my interest in a career doing graphic design work for a publication.
